簡莉芸的作品以繪畫、素描、空間裝置、雕塑等不同方式呈現，並穿梭在不同形式之間。作品的主軸從迷戀物質的可見與不可見，到觀察在生活當中，物、空間所形成的樣貌，來進行發想。近期的作品以研究時間的語彙為題，仔細地去辨別我們是如何地使用文字、語言去描述時間的形狀，並試圖從中找到一絲與時間剝離的可能，以作品和作品的轉變之間，分析時間的不同樣貌，在製作的過程上，透過物的安排、光影的呈現和空間的狀態，創建一種屬於個人的時間性。
Chien Li-Yun's works use various mediums such as painting, sketching, installations, and sculpture, fluidly navigating between different forms. The core of her work transitions from an obsession with the visible and invisible aspects of materials to observing the forms created by objects and spaces in daily life, serving as sources of inspiration. Her recent pieces delve into the semantics of time, meticulously dissecting how we use words and language to describe the shape of time. She attempts to find a glimpse of detachment from time, exploring the shifts between artworks and their transformations to analyze the diverse facets of time. Throughout the creative process, she uses the arrangement of objects, the presentation of light and shadow, and the state of space to craft a personalized temporality.
